The UK’s biggest commercial vehicle event hit Birmingham in April 2015
And once again the show did not dissapoint. There were record numbers of visitors through the doors over the three day period to see new product launches, investigate new technology and speak to industry experts. The show took place at Birmingham’s Here are some of our highlights…
New product launches
Many of the big manufacturers hold off on new releases and product launches until the CV Show. This year saw new van release galore as Vauxhall showcased their brand new Corsavan and latest Vivaro, Citroen their Euro6 Berlingo and Peugeot their Euro6 Partner van. Whilst in the heavy goods vehicle market Isuzu Truck showed their new chassis for 7.5 tonne (Urban) and 12 tonne (Forward).
The outdoor display area just gets better and better. The weather was perfect for strolling amongst some of the world’s leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles including Iveco, Isuzu and DAF. Meanwhile, Denmark’s Johnny Johnson was crowned the Hiab World Crane Champion after seeing off competition from the 16 finalists.
We can’t believe that Ford are celebrating 50 years of the Transit van. The upcoming elections were at the forefront of many people’s minds. Many within the industry are calling for a reduction in fuel costs. The CV Show is the perfect platform for voicing the needs of the industry.
